Carlos Cesar Galliez and Martina Willach Galliez met at the Esalen Institute, in California, sixteen years ago. That was not only the birth of the bonds that have united them to this date, but the inspiration for the life and work project that they would later develop at Morgenlicht, as of 1990, when they bought the farm and moved there with their three children.

Our mission is based on a shared life, on trust and responsibility, and on the love of all those involved in the project. Carlos and Martina, assisted by members of the local community, personally manage the facility themselves.

Having the Environment, Health, and Community Work as their main guiding principles, their project has put them in permanent interaction with Barra Alegre farmers. Active members of the Association of Barra Alegre Residents, the couple constantly participates in educational activities, as well as in local development projects.
